Forest Guardian & Park Watch

Tracking industrial activities, critiquing proposed logging development plans,and participating in government-led planning processes continue to comprise a significant portion of FHA’s work. Initiatives under this program have included:

• Investigation of issues of concern brought to our attention by members of the public Review and comment on forest development plans of forest licensees
• Submission of Forest Practices Board complaints regarding perceived violations of the Forest Practices Code
• Participation in the Bowron Park Planning Process
• Participation in the Community Advisory Group (to the Forest Service)
• Participation in the Enhanced Forest Management Pilot Project (EFMPP)
• Providing comments to the Forest Service on proposed Old Growth Management Areas
